Hey, I’m Fraser, a Glaswegian, who at 28 years old decided that it would be a good idea to start a food and travel blog whilst holding down a regular 9-to-5 job.

Like the majority of Millennials, I was brought up to go to University, get a good job and settle down. And out of the three of them I've only done two. Why? Well who knows, but for me it means having more opportunities for adventure.

I had already been to Africa, Europe, North America and Oceania. And each time I visited a new city or country I always left with memories that would shape my life. Some still do.

After being inspired by bloggers such as The Blonde AbroadNomadic MattTravels by AdamMigrationology and many others whilst I was in New York for Easter in 2019, I had an idea. Create my own Travel Blog whilst I’m still young and single.

Hence, Travel Eye Single Guy was born.

“The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready.”

Henry David Thoreau

Home, Sweet Home

Glasgow

Glasgow - population around 600,000 people - was once one of the largest cities in Europe with over a Million people between 1912 and the mid 1960s when people moved to new suburban towns. But to most people it's home to one of the biggest rivalries in football (or soccer) - The Old Firm.

To me, it's home. Filled with splendid parks (hence the nickname the 'Dear Green Place'), mouth watering restaurants, cool music venues and amazing architecture, Glasgow is where the heart lies.
